Does Koh Rong Need a Pub St ?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I would have thought it needs one street that isn't a Pub Street.

No it definitely doesn't.

Doesn't say where on the island this development will be, but you assume in Ko Touch ?

The attraction of Koh Rong is its natural beauty, which further development is ruining, just look at the south end of Soksan beach, which has been ruined by the mega-expensive exclusive resort built there in the last 2 years

The Facebook post makes it clear it's Koh Touch village. It's difficult to know where they would put it, although a big tranche of land at the top of the hill has become available it the last couple of weeks. Certainly all the land at the beach is occupied all the way from Police Beach to Treehouse corner, and most of the bowl has been built upon for bungalows and guest houses.
