Re: The Kep Revival
March 2 2023 - the big complex along the new beach is progressing rapidly now after a year or so stalled
Lots of landscaping going in - close to finished - now known as Kep West

Re: The Kep Revival
The breakwater at the Crab market now four times bigger and it looks like they are filling in in front of where the crabs were kept in baskets in the water
Between the Crab Market and Kep beach they have built 58+ shophouses 95% empty - there is no parking and they stretch 600m so will never be busy. Notice the buckled wood on the walkway after a few months - either wrong wood or not treated. There is a pub at the end with well priced food and beer.

Trees all gone and new poles installed - publicity sign
Old Mercedes - must be overland travellers parked up on the Crab Market breakwater

March 9 2023 - here come the Palms - official planting ceremony with Governor and 'dignitaries' and reporters and tv crews
Re: The Kep Revival
19 March - all the trees nearly in and paving nearly complete - interesting that is footpath wide only so no more beach mat vendors all along
Re: The Kep Revival
The day before the official opening of Kep West
Indeed they are filling in the sea in front of the crab market - sort of spoils the ambience and theatre of the iconic place

Opening day of another white elephant - Kep West
At least 500pax arrived possibly lured by supposed free cocktails and canape. The cocktails were some packaged premixed swill that they ran out of and the 'food' was all gone in 10 minutes. Lots of people.
