PM HE Encourages Cambodian Tycoons to Buy Helicopters to Ease Work and Rescue People
Phnom Penh (FN), May 26 – Speaking at the Grand Opening ceremony of Vattanac Capital on Saturday evening, Cambodian Prime Minister HE encouraged Cambodian tycoons to buy helicopters to ease work and rescue people in distant provinces.

Helicopters could assist the Royal Government to immediately rescue people when natural disasters occurred.

"The government can benefit from the helicopters, as it is timely effective. The helicopters will help in time of flood, military, and for other interventions”, he added.

Cambodian tycoons should buy a helicopter worth of $5 million and allow the Air Force to help manage.

Tycoons should buy helicopters, PM says
Prime Minister HE has urged Cambodian tycoons to purchase helicopters for personal uses to facilitate their business and they also helped the government to rescue people when natural disaster occurred.

Speaking at an opening of Vattanac Capital building in Phnom Penh on Saturday, Mr HE said that wealthy businesspeople should buy helicopters for their personal uses because they could help the government when flooding happened.

“Your Excellency, Oknha should spend some of your money to buy helicopters. It does not mean that I want you to be helicopter riders, but the government gets benefit when all of you buy them to use in the country,” he said.

“You should use it because it saves time. When the government needs to intervene in flooding and other disaster, it can borrow those helicopters to help its work,” Mr HE said.

“You should buy one because it costs about $4 to $5 million dollars,” he said, adding that Royal Cambodian Air Force will help provide training to pilots.

True...but the continual cost of preventative / scheduled / unscheduled maintenance and the highly skilled labor involved with these complex machines will be unending and compounded.

The poor boys might have to cinch the belt and cut down from 3 to 2 mistresses.

Other than the one that crashed they are still in service.

It's bad enough having to look in every direction when we drive, now we will have to look up as well.

Well, Duncan I don't know their exact salary.

Helistar, for example, contracts much of their heavy maintenance and inspections from Airbus Helicopter Singapore.
