Over the weekend, police arrested a French tourist at Thailand’s Chiangmai International airport for theft. CCTV captured fifty four year old Serge Jean-Marie Goetz and his wife walking into a Chiangmai Elephant Camp’s office before stealing a smartphone, which had been left on the couch. The phone belongs to Pornpan Manpan, one of the employees.

After the clip was shared online and a five thousand baht reward offered, the French tourist was arrested just before he left the country. Goetz refused to talk to the Thai police and asked to speak to French consular representatives.

didnt even hesitate, walk in, saw phone, covered it with bag, action speaks volumes abt character

For once I am happy that the French representatives abroad have a reputation for doing bugger all.....
