Also not on or near the river I ate a horrible hamburger at Capital and yes I am ashamed to admit it. This establishment, while not renowned for culinary excellence, failed even more so than usual to meet the low standards they set for themselves. Served in what must have been a day old bun, the first problem was to find it. Camouflaged in the usual vegetable trappings of soggy lettuce, green tomato and a thick slice of onion was the smallest piece of burned meat I have ever seen. Slathered on one bun half was some unidentifiable gelatinous yellow garnish. It was so bad even the flies wouldn't touch it.You have been warned.
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.

Why the hipster's mouth burnt?

Image

Because he ate at Cousins Burgers before his food was cool.

Why can't others do it like that?

P.S Why did the hipster remain by the fan?

He was attempting to stay cool.

I used to like the buffalo chicken burger at sundance, also massive.
Whilst I dont dispute they are tasty I remember getting the Mama's one in sliced bread rather than a bun which just ain't right. :assasin:

Came across this, which is a bit out of date maybe but some interesting suggestions

I had one Sunday night an it was in bun, as was the beef burger. Probably just out of buns when you were there.

Personally, for cheap burgers I always found the IN-N-OUT Tribute at My Burger Lab on Norodom to be a decent option. Especially as they often have specials, and you get to look at the eye candy hanging out there from ISPP across the street. Messy burger, but not altogether inedible for $4.

A bit of a walk from the Riverside though. You'd probably have to catch a ride.

Larry's no doubt on St. 110.

$7.50 for the best, natural Burger. US and AUS chuck, with fat cap mixed in for juice.

No gristle, either.

Doesn't need sauce or ketchup, and the pizza is good, too
