Why were 9 fire engines required ?, is it a pretty big restaurant/building, or were the fire crews just bored & decided to join in the fun :)

Expensive - she needs to pay for all the building work somehow - some reads on it here, think Bolueeleh summed it up. I watched a small piece on her on Channel News Asia, she came across as clueless and up her own ass

It's a shame that the place burned down, such a waste. That program about her opening the restaurant was hilarious, she must have been the worst person ever for the contractors to deal with.
Contractor: I don't understand this?
Madame: WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON"T UNDERSTAND - I have talked to you so many times!

I have no problem with her concept of a high-end establishment, but if the roofing and plumbing efforts were anything to go by, it wasn't anything of the sort, it was just an average refit with some fancy veneers.
Singaporean Nicole Chiang has just opened an upmarket lounge bar in the heart of Phnom Penh. It’s the first such establishment in Phnom Penh, targeting more affluent customers. But will this novel concept take off?
Congratulations on them for being the first people to ever think of opening an establishment targeting affluent people in Phnom Penh. Jesus wept.

Singaporean doing business in Cambodia are often arrogant pricks (2048 containers market someone ?).
Be like, they're inventing all the "new" concepts.

Phnom Penh City has it all; affluent establishments such as le Royal and effluent establishments such as Phnom Penh Pub Street.
