Is the dream dead?

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

Is the dream dead?

Post by Beerinthemorning »

Is the dream of SEA dead?

Western currency is decreasing by up to 33% in value vs the thai baht (aud).

Visas are getting tougher.

Beers prices are going through the roof 100 baht is normal in pattaya and phuket in 2018

Thats nearly 5$ aud.

In KoW prices went up hill, i mean seriously 5 $ lady drinks is a joke, thats like paying 200$ for a beer in Australia.

Its becoming a joke.

Well you should go to Cambodia or Vietnam... can still buy beers from the fridge at corner stores in VN for 8000 VND (about 45 cents)
Water quenches the thirst, alcohol releases the truth.

As a sock, your constant inane questions are only entertaining to a point. You clearly have a modicum of education and yet continue to play the fool.......[mod edit]

I don't get that statement. How is paying for a $5 lady drink like paying $200 for a beer in Oz?

Average wage in oz is 4000$ cleared a month and a beer is about 5$ in a bar.

In KoW average monthly wage is 150$ a month
So a lady drink should be about 0.075 cents in comparison.

Anyway its clear that SEA is not a bargain and they are raising prices to even up previous unfair conversions we have seen in the past.

Examplr

Aud to baht in 2010
33.30 BHT to 1 AUD

Aud to baht in 2018
23.7 BHT to 1 AUD

Aud to KHR in 2010
4100 KHR to 1 AUD

Aud to KHR in 2018
3000 KHR to 1 AUD.

I surmise you don't have a very clear concept of economics, nor the costs involved in running a bar, paying for stock and keeping staff, much less things like profit and other overhead.
