New website with photos and stories from the 1970s

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

This is Colin Grafton's new website. He has exhibited already at the Bophana Centre and Meta House.

I'm pretty sure your 'waiting for a haircut...where?'photo was taken on Sothearos Blvd just before the entrance to Aeon Mall, on the left if you are coming from MTT...there is a small pagoda nearby, not sure of the name

Many thanks for sharing!

I really love those old-time black and white photos and the one thing that sticks in my mind is the girls in the portraits section, of how beautiful
and playful they were even in those days of destruction.

I wonder where Annih is now ?

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Great photos and very interesting to see the early times.
Sadly a lot of these subjects may have not made it through to see your return.

I was on a phone when I posted earlier so hadn't really seen the site yet. It's fantastic, loads of fascinating photos and information. I have to admire the man's sense of adventure, going to teach English in a country in the middle of a civil war, taking trips into the countryside and to the front lines, coming back from the beach to find his neighbors houses all destroyed in a rocket account etc.
