Expat Teachers in Poipet Enjoy Playing Traditional Khmer Games for the Khmer New Year

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

What is the Old Boy doing? Haven't heard from Him in ages. Does He have visa issues?
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.

I knew I'd seen those two guys' faces before.

In both news items, they are referred to as teachers and not preachers. I imagine that's deliberate, and it's a bit weird not to say that they are here as part of a religious mission when that's obviously the case. Why are they not loud and proud. ;)

Haha, nice one, Anchor Moy! I was sure he seemed familiar as well. Good to see them having a good time these days.

Not sure if anyone is interested in the answer, but all "short-term missions" visitors are told by their agency/church to put "teacher" and not "missionary" on their arrival card in the mistaken belief that the Ministry of Cult/Religion actually cares more than it does. Mind you, Christ, Peter and later Paul were all deemed to be teachers. I guess there's a small risk that someone with too much braid on their uniform at the airport might seek additional tea money from a "missionary" whereas they accept that all we teachers are just plain broke.
