Shocking animal abuse in PP.
Slightly old news but this was posted 4 days ago by Peta Cambodia on Twitter and picked up today by PPPost.
It "shows shirtless men viciously beating pigs over the head with metal pipes before cutting their throats" in a Phnom Penh slaughterhouse.
But when shown to Ministry official Sen Sovann he said he was outraged and will take action when he finds out where the video was taken!

Re: Incredible animal cruelty in PP.
Just wondering, what is the approved humane way of killing animals in a slaughterhouse?

In the UK it used to be a bolt gun to the skull.

Rapid death with minimal suffering. Definitely not the way as shown in the video. Wouldn't cost the slaughterhouse that much to buy some stunners and separate the animals so they don't have to go through so much stress before being killed. I love my meat but this video makes me puke. The suffering they bring upon these animals in this video is absolutely unnecessary.Username Taken wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 10:12 pm Just wondering, what is the approved humane way of killing animals in a slaughterhouse?

It's an incredibly inefficient way of slaughtering them, chasing round after them trying to conk them on the head a dozen times. It'd be a lot quicker and easier to line them up and bolt them.
