Using PassTaxi App From The Airport

Post by Bern »

Last year I was using the PassTaxi App for tuk tuk trips around town and used it to get to the airport.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... axis&hl=en

This year, I would like to use it from the airport.

If I use the app can the tuk tuk come into the airport proper or must I walk to the main road?

I don't mind walking to the road, as that is what I've done in the past if it wasn't raining but I would prefer to order the taxi form the inside the airport and then walk to the main road. Anyone know exactly where outside the airport the tuk tuk will go if I choose the airport as a pick up location?

Or is there a similar Uber like service that you prefer?

the tuk tuks n taxis working inside the airport have to have a permit in order to work form there, so im sure you would have to order inside then venture outisde the grounds to catch the pickup

I've had my regular PP tuk tuk pick me up from arrivals many times, I can't see an app booked service being any different.

I use PassApp whenever I leave the airport. When departing the airport I always step out to the street and usually they answer up within a minute. Seems to be a number of the waiting out there. I noticed a lot of other people picking up PassApps streetside. If your luggage is too much for you to carry to the street it probably won't fit in a little PassApp Bajaj.

Since I started with PassApp I have not taken a standard TukTuk. I go from Boeung Trabek Plaza area to 130 & Riverside for 8,000 to 8,500 Riel. Doubt I could ever get a tuk tuk to do it for that price. I noticed a hostess in a bar was using PassApp to get herself a TukTuk.

I use PassApp and Exnet for rides from the airport into town. Been doing so for over a year now. I put the pickup location as opposite the California Hotel on Russian Blvd. There is actually an exit there and enough space so vehicles can make a u-turn and then park along the railing on the side. I normally order as I exit Baggage Claim and by the time I'm at that exit the ride is there.

Last time I had an Exnet car meet me inside the airport, it worked OK for me but the airport taxi drivers were handing out some abuse to my driver. The ride cost me $8 btw, instead of $12 I would have been charged by the other guys.

You can use a trolley for your luggage and go right up to the exit gate with it. Btw how much do you pay for a PassApp tuktuk into town? I have haggled the remorque drivers down to $4.

Ugo711 $4 from Riverside to the airport if Russian Blvd is choked and it takes an hour. Less in better traffic conditions.
