22yo woman dies instantly after touching live wire in the street

This is a needless death caused by criminal negligence. RIP.

SIEM REAP - A 22 year old woman, Phea, a staff member employed at Taleap Oureusey 2 restaurant, was killed by an electric shock when she touched a power pole on March 29 in Salakonseng village, Sangkat Svay Dongngom, Siem Reap.
The victim was walking home from work, when she inadvertently touched some electric wires that were sticking out of a pillar that was on the pavement. She had wet hands, the wires were live, and as a result the woman received an electric shock that killed her instantly.

When people on the street saw what happened, they called the police, but it was too late to save the victim who was already dead. The police medical examination confirmed that the woman died from an electric shock as a result of touching the wires in the pillar.

The body was taken to keep at Kokchok Pagoda waiting for family take to prepare the funeral.
