Phnom Penh: On March 29, 2018, the Ministry of Labor has announced that since only some foreigners have applied to extend their work permits this year so far, foreigners who have businesses or work in Cambodia will be given an extension to the original March 31 deadline. All foreigners are encouraged to extend their work permits online and get the process started on the official Cambodian government work permit website before April 30, 2018. If you miss the extended April 30 deadline you will have to pay a 40,000 Riel fine PER DAY until you renew it, which is about $10 USD per day.
