Alert out for missing bride-to-be

KAMPONG SPEU - There are fears for the safety of a 20 year old woman who is living with her parents in Tang Meng village, Kampong Speu, who went missing only 20 days before her wedding. She was last seen on March 20, and her concerned family and relatives have launched a missing persons alert on social media. They say that she had no particular worries or reason to run away, and they are afraid that she may have been abducted.
Her father has also appealed to her to contact the family if she has left of her own accord, saying that they will not be angry, but they need to know she is safe.
The alert put out on social media has now been taken up by the online press, with the girl' s photo on the front pages of many Khmer news outlets tonight.

Apparently, she was bored. She had gone off to Sinville for some excitement. Journalists have been informed that the missing woman called her parents from Kampong Saom and they are going to get her. They say they are happy that she is alive and well.

Another girl who was reported missing has been found by police last night.

Chom Sotheavy, 15, who disappeared at 11:00 am on March 25, 2018, and was the subject of a police missing persons search, was found at 18 hours and 00 minutes on March 28, 2018, police said, and she has been given to her mother-in-law.
