German Tourist ERIK ZOOROW dies of drug overdose in Phnom Penh room

Phnom Penh: A 47 year old German Tourist, ERIK ZOOROW, has died after apparently using excessive drugs in his 3rd floor room in the rental house called The Wall on Street 174, Sangkat Psar Thmey 3, Phnom Penh.
The source said that the victim checked in at The Wall on March 20, but then on March 22 at 6 am, the house owner found the man dead in his room, sitting upright on a chair in his room without his clothes.

After the police examination , it was concluded that the victim died of a heart attack after using excessive drugs.The body was taken to Russian Hospital while the family is notified. RIP.

Are the rooms part of the wall? I didn't know howey had rooms as well. Are we sure it was an overdose, could have just been waiting to get some service from the bar

I didn't know they had rooms there, but the photos in the other thread don't appear to have been taken in a guest room, anyway. Stainless steel table, fire extinguisher on the wall and some laundry hanging up. More like a back room of the bar.

Erik had actually lived in Phnom Penh for a few years, he was an expat and not a tourist. He also rented an apartment in that block for some time, it is quite a surprise that he is now dead.

Erik was in the German army in the past and I believe he leaves a son in Germany, Erik stayed in a lot working online so those who knew him did not see him much. The article did misspell his surname, this may not be a bad thing as at least his family and friends will not learn of his death from the internet.

Erik used to live in Pattaya and had a bar on Soi 6 in 2009, another person gone and so RIP Erik, sleep well.
