Homeless British man ANTHONY MOORHOUSE Asking for Help in Phnom Penh

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

No passport, yet the press have managed to rustle up a photograph of his passport with expired visa.

Outstanding work from the news hounds at the unnamed publication.

Edit to add he looks far too well dressed to be homeless, and his profile indicates he works/ed at Vanda Institute in "2017 - current".

Possibly the same bloke quoted on the Mark Smith thread by GM, indicating he's got kids here.
General Mackevili wrote: Wed Aug 02, 2017 11:48 pm This was posted to CEO's Facebook yesterday by a Mr Anthony Moorhouse. Not a lot of info, and no way to confirm it:

"The conclusion from yesterday's meetings with the Khmer lawyer was that Mark would be called in for further questioning in court, however not today and we are awaiting confirmation of when that will be.

I am aware of what Fresh News are reporting but was informed there was no court today.

Now going back to see Mark and will update when we know more.

We are not resting on our laurels waiting but actively pursuing and exhausting all avenues in the meanwhile.

Unable to answer all of you individually hence the updates, have 2 young children that need to be looked after and cared for also - Thank you so much for the concern.

The above is from someone representing him and not from hearsay at your local 50c publication.

He's wearing the same shirt in that four year old passport pic too.

He has been having issues when applying for his visa EOS because his passport is damaged, he was advised several times to get a new passport but obviously didn't, they must have finally refused to issue him a new EOS in Dec.

Hi
Does anyone know of any genuine sincere staff in the Immigration dept opposite the airport, whose understanding of English is very good. I need to speak with someone over a small issue of extending my visa, as yet again my damaged passport from the previous years have been highlighted and this is delaying the extension. Thanks in advance. Please PM me any numbers or names if you wish to keep it private.

^Yikes. I was starting to think that he might not be homeless after all, but I guess he is....

He also posted this last month:

"To all head of English departments,

This is just a courtesy inquiry regarding employment within your organization for a native English teacher – I’m a British national, holding an education diploma and a completed TEFL 150 hours masters . I also have Seven Years’ experience within teaching kindergarten, primary and adults students ( GEP ) in various subjects as per resume and online experience which includes business ethics in Phnom Penh and I’m looking for future posts as soon as possible ( one week ).

I'm living in Phnom Penh , Cambodia at the moment. Therefore, I would like to arrange a meeting, either face to face or via Skype / Zoom at a suitable date and time to discuss how I could help your school with its future goals.

I can disclose my diploma TEFL at a later date. I can also disclose my recent criminal record check letter, when requested.

Thanks in advance!"
"

And then just yesterday posted this, asking for ANY job that would give him a roof and a meal:

"UK Ex-pat, looking for work as in any bar/hotel/restaurant!

I have various experience in these fields having worked at some leading restaurants/bars /hotels in S.E Asia, also setting businesses up from scratch in Thailand for individual investors as per my resume and a current clean criminal record check via the Cambodian authorities

I appreciate, possibly not Ex-pat wages , but at present a roof and meals would suffice.
Would really really appreciate any ideas or any jobs urgently, if possible, please PM me and I would send you my resume or visit you..

Regards in advance"
