Re: atm fees
Fee free ATMs covered many times, but in short:
MB Bank of Vietnam ATMs: no fee for Mastercard (although they only have maybe 4 ATMs in all of PP, most useful is at Mekong River Restaurant corner riverside/118)
Maybank ATMs: no fee for *some* Visa cards, European and Australian seem to be ok.

MB Bank ATM was not free for my Mastercard (issued in USA). Tried it about 6 months ago.timmydownawell wrote: ↑Sun Mar 18, 2018 2:49 pm Fee free ATMs covered many times, but in short:

Re: atm fees
OK maybe it isn't free for all MCs then? Was it definitely MB Bank (not to be confused with Maybank)? MB only has the ATM at Mekong River, two on Monivong (one at their branch and another opposite a little further down) and a fourth one somewhere (on Sihanouk? not sure).armchairlawyer wrote: ↑Sun Mar 18, 2018 3:51 pmMB Bank ATM was not free for my Mastercard (issued in USA). Re: atm fees
Yes it was the MB Bank ATM at 118/Riverside. I went there after reading about it on the forum. Deeply disappointing experience. Shook my faith to the foundations.timmydownawell wrote: ↑Sun Mar 18, 2018 4:20 pmOK maybe it isn't free for all MCs then? Was it definitely MB Bank (not to be confused with Maybank)? Re: atm fees
I thought this was the one that doesn't state a fee on screen but does in fact take one ($5). Have you checked your account/statement?timmydownawell wrote: ↑Sun Mar 18, 2018 5:00 pmWell it has not charged a fee on ether my Australian issued or a US issued Mastercard so I guess it's choosy.armchairlawyer wrote: ↑Sun Mar 18, 2018 4:34 pmYes it was the MB Bank ATM at 118/Riverside.
