All the ranges where tourists can pay to go fire weapons are on RCAF land, whether it be part of a base or a training area.

Pedro's will most likely be able to tell you the exact location
There's so much military land around Kampong Speu that i don't suppose he would know the exact location of the shooting range anyway, unless he's in the Cambodian army or something. Lol. They say there's another one nearer to PP ?

The Cambodian army brass keep insisting that the Australians were just having a fun day out with their good mates the Cambodian soldiers and that no money exchanged hands. Sounds legit.

I remember years ago two guys were refuelling a truck loaded with rockets/missiles in Takhmao.

Anyway, they couldn't see how full the tank was, so one of them struck a match

Do we know where this happened ? Is it a real army training ground, or was it a set up for tourists that like to pay to play with guns ?
Used to see ads in the PP tuktuks for this sort of thing.
He has a splintered right hand and shrapnel injuries indicating an explosion upwards from his right flank. He obviously grasped an unexploded ordinance

Walking through a minefield with unexploded mines is pretty "out there" for a tourist trip IMO.
I thought they would be blowing away target goats or cows or something with AKs. Maybe the victim thought so too. RIP.

The weapon which caused the deaths and injuries was a hand grenade, not a mine, they were not walking through a mine field.
