Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. illegal ones to go first, follow by small ones, lastly when hainan is done deal, big ones will follow, big ones can stay if they want to but with no physical walk in gamblers, i suspect they will go too
Right, so all the VOIP scammers are going to move to Hainan? Even though there will soon be three international undersea cables terminating here in Cambodia within the next year? Making the internet significantly cheaper and police bribes staying the same. Hainan already had holiday resorts before they started building them in Shv, and their gambling industry still doesn't even exist on paper. You are a perennial optimist, that's for sure.
you can choose to believe or not its up to u, but VOIP scammers will be hunted no matter where they are, i am talking abt small n big casinos operators will be moving their operations back if hainan really opens its door to gaming due to many advantages it has over other overseas location

Huh. On St 606 in Toul Kork, in the old Metfone work house, a whole bunch of Chinese have moved in. There's racks of bunk beds in the rooms and HUUUUGE piles of rubbish outside each morning. This must be an illegal VOIP den as well. How do you notify the police about this?

We've got a task force in SHV now to make sure no one is doing anything illegal. :plus1:

not to fan racial hatred but if u guys think that those chinks that recently moved into your neighbourhood is doing illegal stuffs, take some photos have some text in khmer and post it on khmer associated social media, it is election year and one thing politician fears more is negative advertisement in the media during election year.

that will prompt actions pretty quickly i would think

So you're saying that the casinos in Shv are not money laundering operations deliberately set up in a foreign country in order to avoid government scrutiny? They're only here to serve the massive market in Chinese tourists?
