What do you do when you find a Sleeping Cashier? (Kampot Poll)

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

went with the bucket of water option on the understanding that this meant "do anything to wake him up".
Without knowing the guy and his backstory he is probably overworked and underpaid. Possibly working another job or studying too so give the guy a break tbh.
I find almost all expats here are inherently honest and while a few make the news I feel most, irrelevant of their lifestyle choice, would wake the guy up, have a laugh with him for having had to do this and then pay and leave.

Do you:

A) Leave without paying

B) Leave and come back to pay later

C) Pinch his phone

D) Put exact change on the table in front of him and hope nobody else picks it up

E) Find a bucket of water

I would do what I do if I am missing something the next day —.
Go back and find out if they recognize me or if I left anything behind before I have to ask ... sometimes , No body is sure ... in that case , I would say I was there last night and ask for my bill .
Even if I get mad any place for them being slow or forgetting something obvious I might give them a dirty look ,
but I still leave them a dollar .

What do you do when you find yourself sleeping with the cashier?

Nothing different, still check the docket.

I got my first pack of smokes this way as a kid. I went to a corner store to buy an ice cream but the cashier wasn't there so I left the money for the ice cream on the counter and I leaned over and took a pack of Marlboro and ran out. I can't have been older than 12 years old which just goes to show what a G I was even at an early age living the thug life.

That dont sound right. I always thought the Marlboro kid rode a horse out.

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

‘Bucket of water’ option chosen as its closest to

-bang the table loudly*
-sound the fire alarm
-sit, relax and chug a beer while awaiting the awakening

Slumbering kids are often roused for school by Reveille. Suits my sense of humour but leaves them nonplussed.
