Re: Land of Smiles
I would "so much enjoy a hobby like Yong" but we don't get that kind of opportunity with the food here in Cambo John. Take this long running thread for example! Can you imagine doing the same here on the delights or "Yuck' Khmer food on offer. It would be difficult to do a fraction of what these pages offer. Yes there are some good meals on offer in this country and plenty poor ones too. I wonder how far a thread would last on our local and far delights would last, that is in between "wow that was nice, and now I have food poisoning".
Always "hope" but never "expect".

Wednesday after more than 400km of driving from door to door trying to sell screws at upcountry of Thailand time to have a nice Isaan dinner
Nice spacious restaurant
Waiting whole day for this
Start with a somtam of course
and gaiyang
Gave me lots of raw vegetables
Then the tomsaeb
Then comes the larb moo
with more raw veges
This is how you should have lard, the old Isaan way
My dinner with 4 bottles of Chang
