Would u return to Snookie... Is it now THAT bad?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

It's true. Golden Lion Plaza aka Pub Street, is to close in a couple of months. I believe some compensation is on the table.

If I'm not totally confused about the location, I think these office & apartment buildings will be built there. They have the land (16ha) from the roundabout towards otres and they have said these will be built next to their Prince Time Hotel and that hotel is currently U/C at the corner of golden lion roundabout. Construction starting this year so it would all add up.

Good Lord.
I’ve heard that Queenco are extending the hotel at Victory Beach. Using the car park where the coaches currently park.

Not sure where the coaches will park after it’s built!

If I'm not totally confused about the location,

You are totally confused about the location.

It is a single 1000sqm block of land.

Yeah, I know pub street is small but most likely that is a tiny part of this bigger 16ha area where this project is built and since their construction work is starting soon + pub street closing down = most likely same area. Pub street is the place near the round about right?

Wow look at those plans! They are gonna destroy all the buildings we associated with Snookie and replace with space age skyscrapers. It will be fun and sad to see the end resultry I guess. Butt that part of Snookie was looking shitty anyway !

I wonder what happens to Victory hill?

Beijing considers Taiwan a province... and most of the condos are being bought on spec. by rich 'mainlanders'. So, the distinction doesn't really matter.

Come on this is Cambodia, do you seriously think those buildings will be built? I don't see it happening, the investors will realize it's not worth it and pull out, and some
more casinos and poor quality khmer stuff will be built there after a long period of nothing.
