Non-smoking airports ?

Do you have a Cambodian trip report you want to share? Post it here, and feel free to link to your blog if it's a travel blog for Cambodia, South East Asia, or anywhere really. You can ask and answer questions about travel advice in Cambodia or just share your pictures and videos with us. Most people who live in or visit Cambodia have also checked out nearby countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and you can get to most of these countries by traveling overland, so put any travel plans, reviews or questions here. Discussions about dirt bike trails in here as well.

Non-smoking airports ?

Post by Anchor Moy »

Is it true that all airports in Australia do not have any sort of facilities for people to smoke on stopovers?

Doesn't seem so long ago that you could smoke on the plane, but I am ok with that. I am also ok that you can go outside to smoke. I don't want to bother other people, I just don't want to feel I' m in jail or in rehab.

If I can't smoke at all in an airport while hanging around on stopovers, I will avoid the airport if at all possible. Traveling by air is already enough of a PITA. So I'm making a list... 8)

(And most places where you can't smoke, you can't vape either.)

You can't smoke at any Australian airports. In fact there are very few places in Australia where smokers can light up.

Just outside the actual terminal building. You can't smoke after clearing immigration, or in transit.

Just in case you didn't get the gist of what Satiated Parrot was saying, here it is again,
"Just outside the actual terminal building. You can't smoke after clearing immigration, or in transit."

The best thing about Aussie smoking areas is that they are outside in the fresh air. The smoke dissipates.

Smoking Rooms like at KL or Don Mueang are absolutely disgusting.
