Cleaner Steals Australian Expat's Phone

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

What a classic. Ugly Aussie in shorts dobs in ageing Hooker/ cleaner for stealing his phone. Cheap to be rid of her you woukd have thought.
I never had a phone stolen by anyone who was at least 35 years younger than me. And hardly ever wore fucking shorts.

Hmmm, me thinks you right.

And all that, quelle surprise, in shorts.

What is wrong with wearing shorts, used to be a lot of posters on the other forum who looked down on people who wear shorts...weird.
I don't wear long trousers in the jungle. And they are cargo shorts. I can transport clean underwear, mosquito spray and paraphernalia without a manbag

Actually, the jungle is probably the best place for long pants.

Damn everyone so judgemental here. Wear what you want. We're in a tropical country, I wear shorts 24/7. Whatever makes me feel comfortable. When I go to a fancy place or meeting I wear shorts, a shirt and a suit jacket. Was never not allowed entry anywhere. That might be because of my good looks of course.

CEOCambodiaNews wrote: Sat Jan 27, 2018 11:00 am According to authorities, the suspect's name is Heng Sokhoeun, she is 38 years old, and she works in a restaurant. The suspect and the victim were known to each other before this incident.
It is reported that the suspect went to the victim's house for cleaning. The victim went to the bed room and left the phone on the table. After cleaning, the victim realized that he had lost his phone. When he went to check the suspect's bag, he found his phone, so then he took the suspect to the police station. The suspect has been detained for questioning and criminal charges at Khan Doun Penh police station.

I could be wrong but she looks like one of the staff who used to work (maybe still does) at La Croisette

This is true. Shorts don't look good if you have scrawny legs. That's why the main complainant on TOF (who also posts here) can't wear them. 8-)
