is this the end of the building boom?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Saw this today in a very posh condo with swimming pool and good gym. Not a hotel Over 300 rooms and they are so desperate to make money they are advertising short time rooms in the lobby! Not going to tell you where it is but excellent views over the Mekong
Buying a condo might no be the excellent investment the salesman tewlls you it is, They are even offering guaranteed rental income (Cambodian guarantee) and guaranteed buy back. Good luck with that

I am not sure why anyone would want a deluxe triple short time room unless they have bought all the girls from a bar for a bucket list job

You mean ALL THOSE CONDOS may be LUXURY SHORT-TIME ROOMS, replete with champagne stains and flavored condoms?

Oh, that's a laugh.

Big move up for short-timers, though! Oh, to be young and stupid again, haha!

Not if there's a fire, not even if you hear the sound of a thud from my home and one week later there's a smell coming from there that can only be a decaying human body and you have to hold a hanky to your face because the stench is so thick that you think you're going to faint.

Even then, don't come knocking...Not for ANY reason.

Dude, if you're Chinese or a Bit-coiner, why not get 3?

King-size, plush couches, multiple flat screens ...

Why not?

I think every short-time room I have used I have had a good view.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

What kind of apartment building that *isn't a hotel* has triple rooms anyway? No one would furnish a bedroom with three beds unless they were a hotel.
