Ever get that 9/11 feeling?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. Ever get that 9/11 feeling?

Post by Abc123 »

Reading the local El paper over the last few months, I've been getting a feeling of strange omnipresence. It's an even stronger portence of doom than when Trump became president. The thing that I think best describes it, is the feeling most people got of impending doom after 9/11.
Of course, I always knew how these countries work, but having things taken apart before your eyes somehow brings it home just how much more the west offers it citizens.

Which is why we're all here, right?

What does it offer? 3 jobs just to scrape by?

GM, can you update us on the 'record national debt? Has it gone down?

At least he had some respect from most countries, though I'm no big fan of his.

I think Murika was less disliked under Bama than it is under Frump.

Bama I could respect, overall. Frump, no way.

What did Obama do other than give us the disaster known as "Obamacare"? Nobel Peace Prize? For what? What a joke.

And being "liked" doesn't improve your country, LoL.

The Affordable Care Act was a failure? In what way? Loads of people, millions, receive medical care through it that otherwise they wouldn't receive. Sure, it would be cheaper if you just left them to die. Fuck them, the sickly cunts.

This. A self-procliamed super power has the crappiest health care of all developed countries.

8 years of war? And who started the wars?

Mass shootings have gone up every year and will probably reach a record high this year. Blame Obama?

Much of the other statements are just as ambiguous.

Whatever else, at least Obama managed to articulate himself in whole sentences unlike the current clown in chief that is hard pressed to formulate a sentence longer than 140 characters long.
