An expat from England dressed up as Santa Claus and went around the countryside with his little helper, his daughter dressed up as an elf, spreading holiday cheer, handing out Christmas presents to the local Cambodians, young and old, who seemed as confused as they were amused by his act of kindness.

The pictures were posted on social media, showing the reactions of Cambodians when they received the gifts.

Although not traditionally celebrated in Cambodia, like other holidays in the West, Christmas is becoming a big occasion for more locals each year.

I never realised Santa wore flip flops. No problem with frost bite? Oh well, you live and learn.

I'm sure he meant well, but that's a terrible Santa outfit. The mask (beard?) looks well creepy and the guy's chest is hanging out? I never saw Santa boobs before and I don't want to. The flip-flops look ridiculous, he could at least have just put on some black wellingtons.

It looks like he has bones tattooed on his hands. That's pretty hard-core for Santa.
