Lanmei Airlines Launch New Direct Flights From Cambodia To Vietnam

HANOI, Dec 21 (Bernama) -- The Phnom Penh?headquartered Lanmei Airlines launched direct flights from two Cambodian cities, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City respectively on December 20.

The new flights, using Airbus A320 aircraft, will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported.

As the only air link between Phnom Penh and Hanoi, the flights between the two capital cities aim to promote Cambodia's international trade relations.

The HCM City and Siem Reap route is expected to promote cultural and social relations and to better tap tourism in the 10 countries in the Southeast Asian region, especially between Cambodia and Vietnam, a press release from Lanmei Airlines said.

Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville are the carrier's main bases in Cambodia.
