Temperature to Drop to 16 Degrees Celsius Early Next Week
AKP Phnom Penh, December 14, 2021 --

The temperature in Cambodia would drop to as low as 16 degrees Celsius on Dec. 20-21, announced the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology in a new weather forecast released this morning.

The provinces next to the Dangrek mountain range and northeastern highland areas would see the lowest minimum temperature, at around 16-18 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature would be 25-27 Degrees Celsius, it pointed out.

During the same period, it added, for the central lowland areas, the temperature would vary between 17 and 27 degrees Celsius, while that in the coastal regions from 19 to 29 degrees Celsius.

Rain, Lightning, and Gusts Warned This Week

2022 Rainy Season to Start This Weekend

Cambodia’s nationwide rainy season for this year 2022 is expected to begin on May 15, the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology announced this morning.

Cold Weather Warning
The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology predicts that during the next week, Cambodia will be affected by high pressure and northeasterly winds. This will reduce the temperatures in the highlands, and the population are warned to cover up, particularly over night.
From 2-4 November, the weather will be cold in the night and morning in four provinces such as Mondulkiri, Ratanakkiri, Preah Vihear and Oddar Meanchey, with minimum temperatures of 17-18 degrees.

It's been the rainy season for as long as I care to remember. It's been rare to go a full 24 hours without a downpour for the past several months. At least in PP.
