The ministry thus called on people to keep vigilance of thunder, lightning and gusts. For those living in lowland areas near waterways and the mountainous areas, it added, they must be careful of flash floods from Oct. 18 to 20, while fishermen and seafarers are advised to be vigilant of strong winds and high waves from Oct. 16 to 20.

Between Oct. 14 and 20, the source pointed out, the temperature would vary between 23 and 29 degrees Celsius for the central lowland areas, from 21 to 28 degrees Celsius for the mountainous areas in the north and northeast, and between 22 and 28 degrees Celsius in the coastal areas.

Be vigilant.
Cambodia to suffer from impacts of 2 tropical storms in coming days
Source: Xinhua| 2020-11-10 13:12:25

PHNOM PENH, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia's Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MWRM) announced on Tuesday that the country will suffer from the impacts of two tropical storms in coming days.

Tropical storm Etau is forecast to track across southern Vietnam and eastern Cambodia on Nov. 10 before weakening into a depression, the MWRM said in a statement, adding that Etau's impact will cause moderate-to-heavy rainfall in plain, plateau and coastal regions on Nov. 11 and 12.

The other storm is Vamco that occurred in the Philippines and it will batter central Vietnam on Nov. 15 before weakening into a depression that will bring light-to-moderate rainfall in Cambodia from Nov. 15 to 17, the MWRM said.

"In the coastal areas, sea waves will be fairly high," the ministry said, urging the public to be extra-vigilant to avoid any possible dangers.
