Cambodian Northwestern Provinces to Experience Heat Wave This Week
AKP Phnom Penh, May 05, 2020 --
Northwestern provinces of Cambodia will face a heat wave this week, according to the new forecast shared by the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology.
The temperature in those provinces would rise up to 40-41 degrees Celsius from May 8 to 10, it pointed out, adding that anyway some parts of the area would have some rains.
From May 6 to 12, it continued, the temperature would vary between 25 and 41 degrees Celsius for the central lowland areas, from 24 to 37 degrees Celsius in the mountainous areas in the northeast, and from 25 to 36 degrees Celsius for the coastal areas.
The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology also called on the public to pay close attention to possible phenomena like thunder, lightning and gusts as well as heat wave.

The provinces along the Dangrek Range and in the central lowland areas would face thunder, lightning, and gusts this week, the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology alerted the public in a new forecast issued this morning.
The ministry thus called for high attention to the above-said phenomena, especially from May 21 to 26, 2020.
The temperature would be similar to last week with rain almost across the country from tomorrow until May 26, said the same source.
For the central lowland areas, the temperature would vary between 25 and 39 degrees Celsius, from 24 to 38 degrees Celsius in the mountainous areas in the north and northeast, and from 26 to 35 degrees Celsius for the coastal areas, pointed out the new forecast.

Cambodia News: The Cambodian Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology released photos of roads flooding in Battambang on June 26, 2020, after heavy rainfall in Battambang city.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology has stated that from June 24 to 30, 2020, most of the Cambodian provinces will experience prolonged rainfall mixed with thunderstorms, and have posted a warning to road users to be careful of flash flooding.
