Manor House is a very elegant small boutique hotel. Not at all the usual heart attack environment.

The British man Bartholomew Cronin, who was found dead of suspected drug overdose in a Phnom Penh hotel, may have had a murky past involving a notorious Oxford child-sex grooming scandal that made international headlines. The victims were mostly young girls who went missing while in the care of social services.

The photo of a British national with the same name and age from Oxford, UK, matches the appearance of Bartholomew CRONIN who was arrested on charges of "suspicion of being a landlord letting a premise for use as a brothel, causing or inciting child prostitution for gain, and encouraging or assisting in an offence believing it will be committed, namely rape and causing child prostitution."

Bart Cronin, along with his father and brother, is one of the owners of the Nanford Guesthouse, Oxford, where scores of children were taken to be raped, drugged and abused by a gang of Asian men running a child-sex ring in 2013.
The three landlords were released without charges, but what is sure is that their bed and breakfast premises served as a child abuse centre by the gang over a long period of time before the police stepped in.

Back story on the arrest:
20th September 2013
Nanford trio released without charge
- THREE men who run the Nanford Guest House were yesterday released without charge by child sex exploitation police.

Brothers John, 48, and Bartholomew Cronin, 49, and their father Jeremiah, 81, were arrested at their Iffley Road hotel in June.

The raid came after seven members of a grooming gang were convicted of drugging, raping, and sex trafficking vulnerable girls as young as 11.

The four-month Old Bailey trial heard underage girls were taken to the Nanford, given alcohol and drugs, and made to have sex with men.

Five of the six victims who testified against the gang told the court they were often taken to the budget bed-and-breakfast and abused.

The Cronins were arrested on suspicion of being a landlord letting premises for use as a brothel, causing or inciting child prostitution for gain, and encouraging or assisting in an offence believing it will be committed, namely rape and causing child prostitution.

They had answered bail earlier this month, but were told yesterday they were no longer being investigated.

Holy shit x2.
He probably did have "interests" here. Yuk. :flasher1:

But, of course it could always be a total coincidence that there was a regional pedophile ring in the UK using his guesthouse as a base in 2013, and then he turns up in Cambodia in 2017.
Probably here as a 'tourist', unless he sold off his shares in the (in)famous Nanford Guest House and moved to Cambodia to live the dream.

Britain's worst hotel?
Dirty and smelly' (but breakfast's included)
The Nanford guest house, opposite the Oxford University rugby ground on Iffley Road, has been voted the dirtiest hotel in Britain.
According to visitors to the TripAdvisor travel website, the hotel is "horrendous", "squalid" and a "total and utter dump". Not all of them were so charitable: one poster felt that the Nanford was "dirty, smelly and should be shut down".

It sounds more like he was just happy to take some coin to rent out his shitty hotel, no questions asked. If they dropped the brothel charges they obviously couldn't find evidence he knew what was going on. Maybe he came for the cheap and plentiful drugs.

Could you perhaps post some evidence for your rather flattering evaluation of this undoubtedly wonderful individual?
