The bus system was developed by JICA ( Japanese International Cooperation Agency), it's not Chinese.

I was on the streets of the city an hour ago. Anyway fair enough, but those are relatively new - the system was a Japanese initiative.Imposter555 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2017 4:27 pmyou cant have been on the streets of pp recently. buses with china-aid written on the side pass frequently http://www.khaosodenglish.com/news/asea ... hnom-penh/John Bingham wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2017 4:20 pm The bus system was developed by JICA ( Japanese International Cooperation Agency), it's not Chinese.

The system and its implementation is, but the recent additional gold-coloured buses are Chinese. The Japanese are sending over even more buses soon in an attempt to out-do the Chinese.

i must look like a factory worker because they have let me on and off more than once. and i didnt get on or off at anything that resembles a factory. 1500 reil (but i tipped them, glad to have them around) put the money in the perspex container near the driver when you get on. cant see that they give change.frank lee bent wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2017 1:56 pm i thought those gold china aid buses were for factory workers. a couple of Khmer ppl said so. very deluxe looking.
difficult to determine where or if they will stop where you are flagging them. actual bus stops are a long walk between. in my limited experience, they are more likely to open the door when stopped at traffic light or in traffic jam.
