Dutch expat Eddy Damhuis still awaiting deportation in Phnom Penh removal centre

Friends have reported on social media that Dutch expat, Eddie Damhuis, has been held at the removal centre of Phnom Penh Immigration Department ( across from PIA), awaiting deportation for the past four weeks.

Eddie was living in Sihanoukville, when it seems that he ran out of money, overstayed his visa, and was sleeping rough. He was then picked up and detained by Sihanoukville police, before being sent to Phnom Penh.
He is said to be in good spirits in the immigration centre, but has lost weight. He is hoping to be deported back to the Netherlands soon.
If you know him, or you are just feeling sociable, Eddie would like a visit.

Cheers for that,not the best of places to be,I visit Eddie when finances allow,just hope high season is around the corner.
