HE Loves His People Like Children, Goes to Beijing tomorrow for Business
[The latest updates from social media.]
HE posted on Facebook saying: "I will personally go to Beijing, China tomorrow (29 Nov) to join the Cambodian government delegation in the high-level dialog meeting between the Chinese Communist Party and the world political parties in order to attract more Chinese capital to invest in Cambodia and create more job opportunities, as well as improve the people and the country's income! "
HE's love for the Cambodian people was fully revealed on Facebook, when he also also added today a message to thank his voters who support him: "Cambodia has been established by us together who are empty handed , we have achieved today after going through untold hardships! Thank you for your support, trust and care, my constituents. Your support is the motivation for me to go ahead and continue to serve the Cambodian people !!! "
Since September this year, HE has visited Cambodian workers for over 20 times in order to improve the working conditions of Cambodian workers and provide more benefits. He has also held face-to-face meetings with workers on numerous occasions. After the event there will be a large number of large numbers of women flocking to take pictures with HE ~ the entire focus of the field! ! !
HE said that starting from November 22, the factories he visited will allow workers to rest for half a day after their visit.
From August 20, 2017 to August 20, 2019 all garment factory employees will have free use of the Phnom Penh city bus.
From January 2018 onwards, factories and enterprises which are members of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) will be responsible for the health care insurance of all its employees which cost between 8000 riels to 13000 Riel each month. Factory workers will also benefit free of charge from public hospital examination and treatment.
From January 2018 onwards, the Cambodian government will also provide maternity allowance to employees of garment factories by handing out subsidies of 400,000 riels for 1 child, 800,000 riels for twins and 3,200,000 riels for the triplets. The Cambodian government will also provide the same grants to female civil servants, police, military personnel with subsidies of 1 800,000 Riel per child, 1.6 million Riel for twins, and 2.4 million Riel for triplets.

HE loves his people like children, many of whom wish they were orphans.

Cambodian PM leaves for China to seek more aid
Prak Chan Thul
29 November 2017
PHNOM PENH (Reuters) - Cambodian Prime Minister HE, facing Western donor pressure over a crackdown on critics ahead of 2018 elections, will seek more aid and investment from China during a visit this week, his aide said on Wednesday.
China is already Cambodia’s biggest donor and its support has bolstered HE in the face of criticism of what his opponents say amounts to the destruction of democracy.
The aide, Sry Thamrong, said HE would attend a special summit from Thursday to Sunday held by the ruling Communist Party on a theme espoused by Chinese President Xi Jinping on turning the world for the better and without interference.
The aim of HE’s meetings to discuss aid and investment with Xi and Chinese investors is to create more jobs in Cambodia, he said.
“Especially, we need more bridges on the Mekong River, we also need many more roads, trains, sky train,” Sry Thamrong told reporters at the international airport in Phnom Penh, the capital, before the departure.

Re: HE Loves His People Like Children, Goes to Beijing tomorrow for Business
I hope they start by widening the road from Kep to Phnom Penh so I can get my travel time down a bit! It's only 150 km but currently drive around 2.5h to get there of which 1hour is hanging behind trucks/ factory transport at 40km/h.CEOCambodiaNews wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2017 6:47 pm Cambodian PM leaves for China to seek more aid

It will depend on what the Chinese want to build, not what HE wants.

But I suspect the road to Kep will be improved. Probably to an 8 lane super highway to assist with "regional transportation", along with the Kampot port etc.

YES please! I count 3 huuuuge cement factories on my way from Kep to PP. 8 lane or even 4 lane, like we have now in Kep (but the kind of 4 lane you could land a plane on) would be perfect!
