Australian woman's GoFundMe alleges amputation and mistreatment in Phuket hospital

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

Or maybe not. It reads "It was reported that Liddle’s policy did not cover injury through accidents while riding a motorbike, and Liddle was not licensed to ride a motorbike in Thailand."

So if that's correct as written, she was not covered at all for riding a moto regardless. But more likely a poorly written sentence with the word "and" used instead of "because".

Either way taxpayers should not be picking up the tab, nor for that drug smuggler either, come to that.

I suppose it's possible her insurance policy specifically excludes coverage for driving motorcycles and scooters... in which case, she would not be covered even if she had a license. However, in that case she's an idiot for not reading the policy.

But she didn't have a license so it's a moot point. No insurance for anyone anywhere in the world will cover an unlicensed driver if a licence is required (and it is in Thailand)... so either way, she's an idiot!

Q1: if she can afford such an expensive university, why is she whining about medical costs/why doesn't she have medical insurance?

Q2: If she has the dosh, why did she not have a relevant driving licence?

Q3: if she has /is getting an expensive education, wtf is she writing like a retard on the internet?
