Re: Is Asia really worth it?
This trip i started in Kata, phuket then flew to Pattaya where I blew 50000 baht in a week with nothing to show all of it on beer, bar fines and transport/eating out.
I was pretty much in a coma on the last day in pattaya they had to carry me from the room to the taxi,
I can say pattaya has improved for the most part my drinking habits obviously haven't.

What can I say! You are letting your fellow man down, and your a cheap cunt with all the money you have been earning, not much girly action on only 50000 in one week. Still the boy of dreams.Coolbackpackerguy wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2017 7:55 am This trip i started in Kata, phuket then flew to Pattaya where I blew 50000 baht in a week with nothing to show all of it on beer, bar fines and transport/eating out.

Always "hope" but never "expect".

bet the handlers had a good scrub up after.
now- get back to switching that stop go sign like they tell you on the motorola- and keep the battery charged or there will be hell to pay.
i bet you are back in 8 weeks doing your groundhog day routine.
maybe you should go to work for the intelligence services- they suffer from a lack of human intel now.

Re: Is Asia really worth it?
An old but great post from Trapper!
Is it worth it? Possibly as long as you actually budget some sightseeing into the mix.
Indeed most of the modern styled flash packers are not immune to a few drinks or other thrills to add into the mix of Temples in blissful lush surroundings, or floating down the Mekong admiring rice paddies and limestone karsts, to give examples.
Indeed even some of the cheapest hostels are quite amazing in Vietnam and awesome food and cheap beer doesn't necessarily mean spending more than a dollar or two for the most part.
So what's left to hate? Very little that can't be worked out or solved in other ways. For example, if you're stuck in a rut then consider that perhaps SEA is a lot more than Cambodia or even drinking and eating at the same places every evening. Yes, I mean there are other options.3 and yes even new places to discover.
How many can actually say they travelled everywhere in SEA??
