sihanoukville - china bans investment in casinos

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

What has some Chinese (Mostly Chinese with Indo, Plips and Viets) being deported got to do with billions of dollars in Chinese investment and land prices?

Are they actually deporting? I would have thought if no WP yes, but others, maybe fined, confiscation of PC's etc.

They are not casino workers but (VOIP) scammers (Some would say it is the same!) and get deported by request of the Chinese government.

No idea. Probably a bit of both.
Personally I think SHV is dead and the sooner I move the better. Probably Kampon Cham or Koh Kong.

Certainly throwing their money about, try renting a house or apartment here. Everyone is having to move out to Klaing Leu. Can't all be VOIP scammers

i wonder what will happen when the petro-yuan launches in a few weeks?
whole joint could implode in a shower of inferior concrete dust.
the Chinese gov is extremely concerned with these casinos and capital outflow is rumoured to be massive.
online gambling is illegal in China and the gov intends to ban outbound investment in casinos:
