Kampot Tattooists Feud over Dick-Shaped Fish

One year ago a tattooist named Jae Ward Lovelace got fired from Monster Ink tattoo studio in Kampot for “several justified reasons”. He demanded that they paint over the dick shaped fish he painted on the tattoo studio wall. The owner of Monster Ink, Hannah Marchetta, alleges that when, after three days, the dick shaped fish remained on the wall, he broke into the tattoo studio, spray painted over the dick shaped fish, and vandalised the tattoo studio. She says he also went around Kampot destroying Monster Ink’s advertising.

Yesterday Hannah saw Jae by chance and flipped him. She alleges that he then destroyed one of their road signs, reigniting the feud.

The feud continues on Facebook.

i am living in kampot now, and treading very carefully. there is a diverse and polarized demographic, some of whom seem clearly unhinged. also a lot of creative,caring, and good people with roots down for 10 years.

I hear that Monster Ink had some kind of charity night fundraiser last year but then may or may not have actually given the money to charity.

Not if there's a fire, not even if you hear the sound of a thud from my home and one week later there's a smell coming from there that can only be a decaying human body and you have to hold a hanky to your face because the stench is so thick that you think you're going to faint.

Even then, don't come knocking...Not for ANY reason.
