In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

This is such a great idea. The police outsourcing their work to tuk tuk drivers.
Maybe the fire brigade could do the same thing and offer motodops $10 each to pull out their dicks and run into burning buildings and piss the flames out.

Giuliani did it by eliminating petty crime, it *could* happen here, too.
They got rid of the guns, which is a Herculean task by any measure, ask a Mexican, S. American, Phillipino or American.
The Aussies did it, but they were just following the Commonwealth.
Can the Cambodians get rid of the petty crime, too?

Not if there's a fire, not even if you hear the sound of a thud from my home and one week later there's a smell coming from there that can only be a decaying human body and you have to hold a hanky to your face because the stench is so thick that you think you're going to faint.
Even then, don't come knocking...Not for ANY reason.

One would hope so.SmartAston Martin wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2017 7:44 pm Can the Cambodians get rid of the petty crime, too?
Where there's a will, there's a way. But, is there a will?
Much of this petty crime is to support drug habits.

It's hardly a new thing. A lot of people reckon that many drivers are off-duty or undercover cops. Some might be, but most aren't.prahocalypse now wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2017 2:58 pm

However, I believe a whole lot of drivers are paid retainers to keep tabs on things and make reports. They'll never admit it though.

Tuk-tuk drivers are hungry dudes always looking for an angle. Not terrible people, though, at arm's reach.

Re: Police offer tuktuk drivers $100 bounty on bag snatchers
I rarely take tuk-tuk drivers I don't know as they are invariably total assholes. I constantly run into people who have been overcharged by them. With the app drivers charging reasonable prices I think the future of the tuk-tuk in the city is going to go into serious decline. They were able to make ok money for a few years but then suddenly there were thousands of them. Because they can't get as much business they try and squeeze their customers more. Drivers tend to be very territorial though so I can see some clouds on the horizon.SmartAston Martin wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2017 9:46 pm
