This same threat was made weeks ago. All it would do is prevent a few high officials and their families getting a certain type of visa to visit the US. I don't see anyone losing sleep over this.

There are loads of cunning plans for HE to do what he wants while complying with US demands - first possibility, release KS from his 'radio station' and give him AND HIS FAMILY safe passage out of the country (or else.) :dragonchase:
Or make sure that when KS is released on 8 Nov, all the other CNRP deputies have left the country, joined the CPP, or have resigned for health reasons. Or release KS and get some puppet to sue him for adultery :downtown: or abortion :sign17: or something (again.) Plenty of possibilities. There are probably still charges pending against KS from before he got locked up that can be revived at any time.

A false release from jail would be easy to manipulate, and less taxing than a direct confrontation with the US, but then again, HE could be looking for a scrap and he has his big brother watching his back. :OD:
Options are open and HE has all the cards.
