A few small problems (immigration in the USA)

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

On checking, I find that the status I currently have is EB plus WP

Thank you for asking, Frank Lee Bent

Ignoring all the silly stuff on TOF about the imagined "foreign dude problem," it can be assumed that First Worlders resident in
Cambodia are an fiscal asset rather than a fiscal liability. Apart from those banged up behind bars, none are a charge on public
funds. Few if any - have children who attend government schools and few clog p the public health service for any length of time.

Virtue signalling is great fun and those playing at being generously warm-hearted love-the-worlders enjoy themselves immensely but
clear thinking on the issue is essential.

Immigrants fall into two categories, with some overlap between the two.

Sojourners toil for a few years and live frugally in order to go home and buy a taxi or two or more (Anatolian Turks in
Germany in the sixties and seventies are an example often quoted.)

Permanent immigrants
put down roots and often have families. Some are an asset; others - like those celebrated Somalis with five
kids and a life of years of entitled idleness in local authority housing* - are an unending drain on public funds.

A useful rule-of-thumb when considering which ethno-cultural groups are assets and which are liabilities is to glance at who is currently
clogging up the prison system in various First World countries. Mexicans, Pakistanis, Maghrebis and Somalis are over-represented
behind bars in the U.S.A., Britain, France and Finland respectively. Nigerians are well-represented in prison systems all over the world;
there are enough of them in the Bangkok Hilton to have their own soccer team.

* Newspapers like the Daily Mail are fond of these tales.

Here is an interesting new item:

The ''Cage" militants are a fine example of people who deserve to be stripped of citizenship, if they have it, and deported.
