Is this a scam or a 100% good deal?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Debt-free US Degree - Completely pay for your degree at Lamar University (Texas) by teaching English online in Thailand

Are you interested in getting a degree in International Business but worry about the cost and eventual debt? This special program, a partnership between Lamar University, Siam Technology College may be your answer.

Many online teaching organizations contact us seeking teachers. The pay for most of these schools is about $15 per hour. So teaching 15 hours per week will earn about $970 per month.

Tuition, if broken down monthly, is only $412 per month. And the cost of living is very low in Thailand. If you live like a student (admittedly you will not have any extra money for fun) you can pay tuition food and housing for only $560 per month! That is less than 9 hours of teaching per month.

To learn more about the program or to apply, please follow this link.

Or email [email protected]

When applying choose the Lamar Work and Study program.

Why is a university offering an NVQ? Stands for Not Very Qualified. If you want some mickey mouse degree that has the rules of table tennis for credits then it sounds like a bargain. It has Project Management "modules" but doesn't offer PRINCE2 qualifications.
