if it wasnt them it would be the Russians or the Chinese.mauser765 wrote:I just want their govt to stop meddling and warmongering to steal resources in the name of 'democracy'.
If most Americans agreed then it would happen. My understanding is most Americans are opposed.mauser765 wrote:I suspect most Americans agree with me, they could use the money to rebuild the infrastructure, create free healthcare and education, and provide cheap housingn

True about Russia, but do the Chinese government keep spurting on about democracy like the Cambodian one does?Digg3r wrote: ↑Sat Sep 02, 2017 10:51 am [Mod Edit: Why can't you let it go. Keep it up and a warning will be heading your way.]

I'd be surprised.
If that's true about what most Americans want then I have had the right idea about America for years.

do Americans want free health care? SURE but who doesn't...
I'd rather have America meddle than the Chinese or Russian's and think most would agree, ( Better dead than Red)
as far as cheap housing?? where?? its a big country.. demand outweighs supply in the more popular areas
more and more cites, states are making community colleges tuition free,,,
REDS???? One of my fav Dylan songs.
To my knowledge there's just one man
That's really a true American: George Lincoln Rockwell.
I know for a fact he hates Commies cus he picketed the movie Exodus.

Yeah, but you're American. Ask non-Americans. And why does it have to be anyone meddling, that's one point.phuketrichard wrote: ↑Sat Sep 02, 2017 12:12 pm do agree Americans want free health care, but who doesn't...

Tbh, most didn't get a choice, they were forced. And I think you underestimate the growing resentment against America, I don't believe 'most' is accurate. 1.6 Bn in China, just for starters. Add 150 mn (Russia) and many nations in Europe who are tiring of war for profit. It's a lot of voices.
China will be worse, but the face of it will just be mostly financial, not military.
If you agree most Americans want free healthcare, and the govt is always touting the country as Mr. Democracy, one has to ask oneself: why don't they HAVE free healthcare?
They can afford it. The same thing with free education.
The community colleges thing is tokenism, why should the country not provide training for a doctor/neurosurgeon, teacher, pilot, architect, social worker? These people benefit the country enormously, the payback for the investment is huge.
I'm not against America, but I am angry at several of its govts for the fact that so many opportunities to do immense good have been mothballed/ignored in favour of enriching the clique through violence and economic dirty tricks.

Cambodia - Cheap housing, how cheap can you build.
And it's is dream abode.

A - frames were designed for areas that have snow - not much chance of that happening in Cambodia, LOL.
Has anyone seen container housing here?
The problem here is not the expensive housing, but the expensive land.

Expensive here! Same prices in the west @for containers. And without cooling. Wow like living in a tin box.

I think with insulation and white exteriors, they'd be better than wooden houses

?? u can find land in Kampot for around $20/sq m, on the river for around $30"The problem here is not the expensive housing, but the expensive land.
Brought 5,000 sq m in Savy Rieng ( planted with rice) for $6,000
Brought 800 sq m in Kep for $5,000
and if u want u can buy land upon the Mekong above Steung Treng for $1-2/sq m

Yes, Richard, but more people live in urban areas than the countryside, iirc, and urbanisation is mostly motivated by the need to find better work.
So yes, one could buy/find cheap land, but would you be prepared to commute from Battambang to Phnom Penh every day?
