Re: Pepe & Co - Restaurant Review
go try ku hai, a non descript place infront of samurai, the menu is freakingly small, only 11 or 12 items, the chef only do what he is good at, and the shashimi menu is different everyday, depends on what he finds that is fresh at the market. nuff said, "mic drop"Hotdigr wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2017 12:40 pm Nothing wrong with Titanic, but it offers nothing on its menu that isn't offered in 50 other similar places. Sure, its cheap and pretty good food, but not spectacular by any means. There is only so much you can do to Chicken Cordon cheese (not Bleu, because they don't use blue cheese), spaghetti bolognese, barracuda, red snapper etc after all, but nothing about it other then those 2 points make it stand out. Add $1 to each dishes price and watch the crowd dry up.
Irish cottage, @Home and Pepe's offer an imaginative menu with seriously good food. Not particularly cheap, but their food is worth every cent of what is charged and it shows by the fact that they do good business even in this cheap charlie town. Olive and Olive used to be ok, but have gone down hill big time in the last 3 years. Good menu, not bad prices, but the food quality is absolutely terrible now. Lemon Grass were excellent about 3 or 4 years ago when they had the Ozzie head chef, since he left.... Sokha and Independance hotel's are an absolute disgrace.
Also, the Japanese place at Queenco is excellent. I'm not really a fan of Japanese food, but have heard enough comments from people who are, to know its pretty damn good!
That's about it for town. 4 restaurants that are better then "cheap with 1/2 way decent, but same same, food"
Pretty poor actually when you think about it
Money is not the problem, the problem is no money

Thanks Roz, I can't believe I forgot the name!
Bolueelah, that's what you want to see isn't it mate? Someone that does a few dishes really, really well, rather then a place that does many dishes and all of them are mediocre at best. To me, that's the mark of a great restaurant!

All the good reviews that I have read about this restaurant are true. The friendliness of the staff seems genuine. I have never seen such good customer service as I experienced poolside.
