Well.. that's the on the road local knowledge I seek today.
If so...is this a Cambo&Mayla agreement or law or an airline policy?

Air Asia demanded a return ticket for my Khmer wife in 2014. Could be an airline thing.

Hey Luigi,
I don't know anything, but here's my 2c worth.
There have been problems recently with Cambodian migrant workers, especially maids, going to work in Malaysia. I THINK there is now a temporary ban on the maid migrants going to Malaysia, pending an agreement between Cambodian and Malaysian authorities, so it is possible that there are controls in place checking on Cambodian women traveling to Malaysia without an onward or return ticket. This would be part of a clampdown on migrant trafficking.
As I said, I don't know, and maybe its nothing to do with that, but it seems possible.

Upon reflection that is exactly the same consensus we came to. Pissed but I will overcome. Non-refundable tickets, hotel pre-paid for better rate & $30. taxi to airport & back. Even showed them $1K in cash & 5 CC's. No can do.Anchor Moy wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2017 11:06 pm Hey Luigi,

I do not know what the maid trafficker profile looks like but am confident I do not fit it nor does my S.O. look or dress like someone going off to be a Malaysian maid.
I'm over it. Mostly. Thanx for the replies.
