Vital Koh Kong mangroves get a helping hand
Koh Kong:
Choub Paris, the Deputy Secretary-General of the National Development of Cambodia cooperated with Provincial Administration Department and other relating departments to plant twenty thousand mangroves in Kachhang Lake Community of Koh Kong province on 16 August, 2017.
The purpose of planting mangroves was to sustain and stabilize the ecology and sea creatures and beaches.

That's good news. That area has been getting raped of its mangroves for decades. Apparently mangrove wood makes very good long burning charcoal.
Still a lot more needs to be done in that area though.

It may be guilt, something to re-plant due to all the re-land claiming I have seen in areas around here. But I am no expert on the matter.
Always "hope" but never "expect".
