Drunk LEO beer truck driver smashes into girl on moto.

12 August 2017. PHNOM PENH

The 25 year old driver of a Leo Beer truck, Choe Sar Sar, was taken into custody after he ran into a girl on a motorbike who cut across in front of his truck.

When the diver failed to brake in time, the girl was dragged along the road for at least 300 metres after being hit by the beer truck. Angry passersby chased the truck down the road until it stopped.
According to a witness, the driver had drunk two cans of Leo beer while preparing his load.

So, by the photo, the girl was riding on the wrong side of the road, but presumable the truck driver will be found at fault.
How many times you see on local news channels about accidents where there is someone injured/ Killed due to them being on the wrong side of the road.
About time the cops got off there arses and stopped people riding on the wrong side of the road. But, then again, that will never happen as life is cheap here so why bother.
Would like to know how many of us have been in a situation in regards to doing a right turn and confronting someone in your corner of the road.

Agree, but if the driver knows anything, he would expect idiots on the wrong side of the road and have to deal with that as we all do. He was drunk, fair cop. fuck him!

She might have been on the correct side of the road when he hit her. Some indication of priority at road junctions would help in this country, maybe a yield sign or two. It's quite possible he just bowled right through or that she popped straight out of a side road. It does say in the traffic law to give way to the larger vehicle if in doubt.

I think her having headphones in didn't help.

hard to believe that he drank only 2 beers or he is drunk on 2 beers?

This is assuming people would actually know or care what a yield sign is. The lack of signs is not the problem, it is the lack of common sense.....
