At 1:30 this afternoon a Hyundai truck, licenced 3C 9541, drove off the road and into a house and motorbike repair shop. The occupants were shocked and shaken, and at least three motorbikes were crushed by the truck, but nobody was hurt.

The driver of the truck, Sung Phannit, a 17 year old man from Kandal province, did not manage to flee the scene of the accident and he was taken into custody for questioning by the police.

No brakes, phone distraction , fallen asleep, drugs or sheer stupidity. Take your pick. He looks stoned to me.
Someone's pride and joy, fine quality moto machines, looking total loss there. :)

Yeah, he's probably driven around a field and up and down a track a few times, then got told to go and pick up a load from Phnom Penh.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

While I agree I wouldn't be surprised if he's been driving that truck 2-3 years already.
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.

If he didn't 'manage' to flee the scene, did he get a beat down at least? One would assume that is why they flee.
