CAMBODIA EXPAT NEWS: Swiss national identified as Renaud Jankiewicz died at popular Irish expat bar (The Irish Place) on Street 110 in Phnom Penh. His death was reported as a heart attack induced by a 3-day alcohol bender.

According to friends, Renaud Jankiewicz was celebrating his birthday, which was on July 19, a short 5 days before his death. He was born on July 19, 1976, making him now 41, and died on July 24, 2017 and was found around 8am in the morning. His occupation has been listed as 'chef' and although he has made numerous trips to Cambodia, it is not clear if he was working in Phnom Penh or just visits on extended holidays. After his body was found the owner of The Irish Place Pub informed police of his death. Mr. Jankiewicz's body has been put on ice and taken to a pagoda in Stung Meanchey for safe keeping until his family or embassy claim it.

May he rest in peace and condolences to all his friends and family.
